PROCEDURE FOR EXTENDING THE VALIDITY OF A VISA OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION


A foreign student who has arrived in the Russian Federation to study at the MSUT "STANKIN" from a country with a visa exchange must regularly renew the validity of the Russian visa.

A foreign student may have the following types of visas:

-a single entry visa, which is issued by the consular office of Russia in a foreign country for a period of not more than 90 days and allows you to make a single entry into the territory of Russia;

-multiple entry visa (multi-visa), which is issued in Russia at the request of the university for a period of not more than 365 days and allows multiple entry and exit to the territory of Russia.


Responsibility for observing the rules and terms of visa extension lies with a foreign citizen!

Important!

A foreign citizen must submit documents for visa extension to the Center for International Cooperation no less than

in 45 days

before the expiration of the valid visa!


To apply for or extend a multiple entry visa you must:

1) Pay the state fee

The size of the state fee is 1,600 rubles.

How to pay the fee?

• Come to any bank with a passport and receipt, and pay the state fee at the cash desk;

• Make a payment through the Online-application or website of Sberbank-Online;

• At any Sberbank ATM.

Be sure to save the payment receipt!

2) Contact the Center of International Cooperation no later than 45days before the expiration of the valid visa

The following documents must be submitted to the Center of International Cooperation (office 0114):

• Original passport

• Original migration card

• The tear-off part of the migration registration notification form

• 2 photos 3x4;

• Original receipt of payment of state fee.

Based on the submitted documents an employee of the Center of International Cooperation draws up a visa application form and submits documents for consideration to the Office for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Documents are on consideration for at least 30 days.


After applying for a visa, the original documents are returned to the foreign student!


3) On the appointed day, provide the original documents to the Center of International Cooperation

The Center for International Cooperation informs the student about visa readiness by telephone, through student chat, or through social networks. On the indicated day, the student must come to office 0114 and provide the following documents:

• Original passport

• Original migration card

• The tear-off part of the migration registration notification form.

These documents are submitted to the Office for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In exchange, a temporary document is issued to the student-a certificate confirming study at the university, as well as a certified copy of the passport (documents are required to identify a foreign citizen for the period of absence of a passport). The student is informed about the date of receipt of the passport with a new valid visa.


To obtain a passport with a new visa, you must provide the previously issued certificate to the Center of International Cooperation (Office 0114)!


MSUT "STANKIN" prepares visas for students with the following validity period:

-for students studying on the terms of the agreement (tuition fees), the visa is extended for 1 semester;

-for students enrolled in the quota of the Government of Russia, the visa is extended for 1 year.
